About This Chevrolet Impala
1963 Chevrolet Impala
Chevrolet debuted the Impala as their top-line model in 1958. By 1963, it was an established moniker for Chevrolet. Our 2-owner Impala is a great example of one of Chevrolet best looking full-size models. As can be seen in the pictures, the exterior is straight and true. The re-spray of Riverside Red is in very good condition, as is all chrome and stainless. Rear fender skirts are included. The beautifully restored interior was reupholstered with Camaro black/white hounds-tooth cloth and black vinyl – classier than original. The factory AM radio is in the dash and there is also an additional FM tuner mounted below. Windows are tinted and air conditioning is installed, but currently inoperative. Horsepower is furnished by a small-block Chevy that is fitted with an Edelbrock Performer intake and 4V carb and sounds strong through dual exhaust. A PowerGlide 2-speed automatic provides torque to a factory differential. The chassis is equipped with power steering, power 4-wheel disc/drum brakes w/upgraded dual master cylinder and GM rally wheels w/spinner center caps and Firestone performance radials. Overall, this Impala looks very much like it did in 1963, but its level of performance is substantially better.
